Oatman takes visitors back to the days of the Old West with staged
gunfights in the middle of town. As you walk the quaint streets
of the old West you may be surprised by the passing of a friendly
wild burro or two. They are a trademark of Oatman and treasured
by the local residents.
If a hike is more to your liking, then Christmas
Tree Pass and Grapevine
Canyon are two must-see places. This area is famous for its Indian
petroglyphs, which can be viewed on the Canyon's sheer walls. It is also
ideal for camping, photography, exploring and hiking.

Lake
Mead is just 15 minutes from White Hills Equestrian Estates, and has
much to offer in recreation. Temple Bar Marina is a favorite destination
for fishing and boating enthusiasts.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area (Lake Mead NRA) offers a wealth of
things to do and places to go year-round. Its huge lakes cater to
boaters, swimmers, sunbathers, and fishermen while its desert rewards
hikers, wildlife photographers, and equestrians. Temple Bar Marina is a
favorite starting point for fishing and houseboat enthusiasts, and it is
just a 15 minute drive from White Hills Equestrian Estates.
Three
of America's four desert ecosystems — the Mojave, the Great Basin,
and the Sonoran Desert — meet in Lake Mead NRA. As a result, this
area contains a surprising variety of plants and animals, some of which
may be found nowhere else in the world. The Lake Mead National Recreational
Area has a wealth of both equestrian and hiking trails. White Hills Equestrian
Estates is surrounded by these federal lands, so as a White Hills Equestrian
